Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ بِثَلَاثٍ، " لَا يَمُوتَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَّا وَهُوَ يُحْسِنُ بِاللهِ الظَّنَّ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say three days before his passing: "Let none of you die except while having good expectations from Allah."
