حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ، وَحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى،، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، قَالَ حَسَنٌ: عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا تَذْبَحُوا إِلَّا مُسِنَّةً، إِلَّا أَنْ تَعْسُرَ عَلَيْكُمْ، فَتَذْبَحُوا جَذَعَةً مِنَ الضَّأْنِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Only slaughter an animal that has completed one year; however, if it is difficult, then you may also slaughter a six-month-old lamb.
