حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ، أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ جَاهَدْتُ بِنَفْسِي وَمَالِي، فَقُتِلْتُ صَابِرًا مُحْتَسِبًا، مُقْبِلًا غَيْرَ مُدْبِرٍ، أَأَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ "، فَأَعَادَ ذَلِكَ مَرَّتَيْنِ، أَوْ ثَلَاثًا، قَالَ: "، ، نَعَمْ، (١) إِنْ لَمْ تَمُتْ وَعَلَيْكَ دَيْنٌ، لَيْسَ عِنْدَكَ وَفَاؤُهُ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: "Tell me, if I fight in the way of Allah with my life and wealth, remaining steadfast, seeking reward, advancing forward and not turning my back, and I am martyred, will I enter Paradise?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Yes!" He repeated this two or three times, and the third time the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Yes, provided you die in such a state that you have some debt and you have nothing with which to pay it."
