حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ، يَقُولُ: اسْتَأْذَنْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: "، ، مَنْ هَذَا؟ " فَقُلْتُ: أَنَا، فَقَالَ: " أَنَا أَنَا "، كَأَنَّهُ كَرِهَ ذَلِكَ (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I knocked on the door of the Prophet (ﷺ) and sought permission. The Prophet (ﷺ) asked, "Who is it?" I replied, "It is me." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Is it 'me, me'?" as if the Prophet (ﷺ) disliked this.
