حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَطَاءٌ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَاتَ الْيَوْمَ عَبْدٌ لِلَّهِ صَالِحٌ: أَصْحَمَةُ، فَقُومُوا فَصَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ "، فَقَامَ فَأَمَّنَا، فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said one day: "Today, the righteous man of Abyssinia, Ashamah, has passed away. Come, form rows." So we formed rows and the Prophet (ﷺ) offered his funeral prayer.
