حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، قَالَ: قَالَ لِي جَابِرٌ، قَالَ: سَأَلَنِي ابْنُ عَمِّكَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ غُسْلِ الْجَنَابَةِ (١) ، فَقُلْتُ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصُبُّ بِيَدَيْهِ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ ثَلَاثًا "، فَقَالَ: إِنِّي كَثِيرُ الشَّعْرِ، فَقُلْتُ: " مَهْ يَا ابْنَ أَخِي، كَانَ شَعْرُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ شَعْرِكَ وَأَطْيَبَ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
Once, Hasan bin Muhammad asked Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) about the ritual bath (ghusl) after sexual impurity. He replied that the Prophet (ﷺ) would pour water over his head with his hands three times. He (Hasan) said, "But my hair is very long." Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "The Prophet (ﷺ) had more hair on his blessed head than you in terms of quantity, and in terms of fragrance, his hair was the best of all."
