حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِذَا أَذَّنَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ هَرَبَ الشَّيْطَانُ، حَتَّى يَكُونَ بِالرَّوْحَاءِ "، وَهِيَ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ ثَلَاثُونَ مِيلًا (١)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: When the muezzin calls the adhan, Satan runs away as far as Rauha, which is a place thirty miles away from Madinah Munawwarah.
