حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، رَأَيْتُ الْبَارِحَةَ فِيمَا يَرَى النَّائِمُ كَأَنَّ عُنُقِي ضُرِبَتْ، فَسَقَطَ رَأْسِي، فَاتَّبَعْتُهُ، فَأَخَذْتُهُ فَأَعَدْتُهُ مَكَانَهُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِذَا لَعِبَ الشَّيْطَانُ بِأَحَدِكُمْ، فَلَا يُحَدِّثَنَّ بِهِ النَّاسَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "Last night I saw a dream. It seemed to me as if my neck was cut off, my head was separated, I went after it and caught it and put it back in its place." The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Do not relate to others the playful tricks of Satan (which he plays with you)."
