Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، وَابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَقَالَ ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ فِي حَدِيثِهِ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: -: " إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ قَدْ أَيِسَ أَنْ يَعْبُدَهُ الْمُصَلُّونَ، وَلَكِنْ فِي التَّحْرِيشِ بَيْنَهُمْ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Satan has despaired of ever being worshipped again by those who pray, but he is determined to sow discord among them."
