حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: " قَدِمَتْ عِيرٌ (١) الْمَدِينَةَ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ، فَخَرَجَ النَّاسُ، وَبَقِيَ اثْنَا عَشَرَ، فَنَزَلَتْ: {وَإِذَا رَأَوْا تِجَارَةً أَوْ لَهْوًا انْفَضُّوا إِلَيْهَا} [الجمعة: ١١] " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a caravan arrived in Madinah Munawwarah while the Prophet (ﷺ) was delivering a sermon. All the people left following the caravan, and only twelve men remained seated in the mosque. Upon this, the following verse was revealed: « وَإِذَا رَأَوْا تِجَارَةً أَوْ لَهْوًا انْفَضُّوا إِلَيْهَا » etc.
