Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ،، ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " أَمْسِكُوا عَلَيْكُمْ أَمْوَالَكُمْ فَلَا تُفْسِدُوهَا، فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ أَعْمَرَ عُمْرَى فَهِيَ لِلَّذِي أُعْمِرَهَا، حَيًّا وَمَيِّتًا وَلِعَقِبِهِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Keep your wealth with yourself, do not give it to anyone, and if a person gives something to someone for a lifetime, then it becomes his, whether he remains alive or dies, or it passes on to his children."
