حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ جَابِرٍ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " مَنْ صَامَ رَمَضَانَ، وَسِتًّا مِنْ شَوَّالٍ، فَكَأَنَّمَا صَامَ السَّنَةَ كُلَّهَا " (١) ،، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: Whoever fasts the month of Ramadan and then follows it with six days of fasting in Shawwal, it is as if he has fasted for the whole year.
