Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: " كُنَّا نَتَمَتَّعُ فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، نَذْبَحُ الْبَقَرَةَ عَنْ سَبْعَةٍ، نَشْتَرِكُ فِيهَا " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the blessed era of the Prophet (ﷺ), we used to benefit from the fact that seven people would jointly sacrifice one cow.
