حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَيُّ الْجِهَادِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ: " مَنْ عُقِرَ جَوَادُهُ، وَأُهْرِيقَ دَمُهُ "، قَالَ: وَسُئِلَ أَيُّ الصَّلَاةِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ: " طُولُ الْقُنُوتِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that some people asked the Prophet (ﷺ): "Which is the most virtuous jihad?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "That of the person whose horse's legs are cut and his own blood is shed." And someone asked the Prophet (ﷺ): "Which prayer is the most virtuous?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "The long prayer."
