Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that my maternal uncle used to treat scorpion stings with incantations. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade incantations and charms, he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! You have forbidden incantations, and I treat scorpion stings with incantations." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever can benefit his brother should do so."
