English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) asked me, "Have you gotten married?" I replied, "Yes." He asked, "To a virgin or to a previously married woman?" I replied, "To a previously married woman, because I have younger sisters and paternal aunts, and I did not think it appropriate to bring someone as inexperienced as them among them." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Why did you not marry a virgin, so that you could play with her?" Then he said, "Soon you will receive woolen garments." I asked, "O Messenger of Allah! From where?" He said, "Soon you will surely receive woolen garments." Now today, when I have received them, I said to my wife, "Keep these woolen garments with you." She said, "Did not the Prophet (ﷺ) say that you would receive woolen garments?" Hearing this, I leave her to her own state.
