حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " يُقَالُ لِلْكَافِرِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ: أَرَأَيْتَ لَوْ كَانَ لَكَ مِلْءُ الْأَرْضِ ذَهَبًا، أَكُنْتَ تَفْتَدِي بِهِ؟ فَيَقُولُ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: فَيُقَالُ لَهُ: (٢) قَدْ سُئِلْتَ أَيْسَرَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: On the Day of Resurrection, it will be said to a person from among the people of Hell, "Tell me, if you had gold equal to the entire earth, would you give it all as ransom for yourself?" He will say, "Yes!" Allah will say, "I had asked you for something even lighter than this in the world."
