حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " زَجَرَ عَنِ الشُّرْبِ قَائِمًا "، قَالَ قَتَادَةُ: فَسَأَلْنَا أَنَسًا عَنِ الْأَكْلِ، قَالَ: " الْأَكْلُ أَشَدُّ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade anyone from drinking while standing. I asked about eating, so he said, "That is even more severe than this."
