Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ - فِيمَا يَحْسَبُ حَمَّادٌ - أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " خَرَجَ يَتَوَكَّأُ عَلَى أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، وَهُوَ مُتَوَشِّحٌ بِثَوْبِ قُطْنٍ قَدْ، ، خَالَفَ بَيْنَ طَرَفَيْهِ، فَصَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) came out leaning on Usama bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him). At that time, the blessed body of the Prophet (ﷺ) was covered with a cotton garment, the two ends of which were thrown over his shoulders from opposite sides, and then the Prophet (ﷺ) led the people in prayer.
