حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا، يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَا يُؤْمِنُ أَحَدُكُمْ حَتَّى يُحِبَّ لِلنَّاسِ مَا يُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِهِ، وَحَتَّى يُحِبَّ الْمَرْءَ لَا يُحِبُّهُ إِلَّا لِلَّهِ " (٣)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: None of you can be a believer until he likes for his brother or neighbor what he likes for himself, and if he loves anyone, he should love him only for the sake of Allah's pleasure.
