حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الطَّالَقَانِيُّ، (٢) حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ مُبَارَكٍ، عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: " كَانَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ يَتَتَرَّسُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِتُرْسٍ وَاحِدٍ، وَكَانَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ حَسَنُ الرَّمْيِ، فَكَانَ إِذَا رَمَى أَشْرَفَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى مَوَاقِعِ نَبْلِهِ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that Abu Talha (may Allah be pleased with him) was performing the duty of protection with the Prophet (ﷺ) with a single shield. He was an excellent archer; when he shot an arrow, the Prophet (ﷺ) would look to see where the arrow had landed.
