Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ (٤) بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ التَّيْمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّ مُوسَى بْنَ، ، عِمْرَانَ كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ الْمَاءَ، لَمْ يُلْقِ ثَوْبَهُ حَتَّى يُوَارِيَ عَوْرَتَهُ فِي الْمَاءِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: When Musa (peace be upon him) intended to dive into the river water, he would not remove his clothes until he had concealed his private parts in the water.
