Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، وَجَابِرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي نَصْرٍ، (٢) عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: " كَنَّانِي بِبَقْلَةٍ كُنْتُ أَجْتَنِيهَا "، يَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) gave me a kunyah after the name of the vegetable which I used to pick.
