حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ أَبَا طَلْحَةَ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ، فَقَالَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: مَاذَا تَرَى نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ؟ قَالَ: " إِنَّ اللهَ قَالَ: {لَنْ تَنَالُوا الْبِرَّ حَتَّى تُنْفِقُوا مِمَّا تُحِبُّونَ} [آل عمران: ٩٢] وَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ لِي مَالٌ أَحَبَّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَرْضِي بَيْرُحَاءَ، وَإِنِّي أَتَقَرَّبُ بِهَا إِلَى اللهِ، قَالَ: فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " بَخٍ بَخٍ بَيْرُحَاءُ خَيْرٌ رَابِحٌ " فَقَسَمَهَا بَيْنَهُمْ حَدَائِقَ (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once Abu Talha (may Allah be pleased with him) presented himself in the court of the Prophet and said, "What is your opinion? Allah has revealed this verse: 'You will never attain righteousness until you spend from that which you love,' and among all my wealth, 'Bairuha' is dearest to me. I give it in charity for the sake of Allah and hope for its goodness and reward with Allah." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Wonderful! This is a profitable wealth, this is a profitable wealth." Then he distributed that garden among the people.
