حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ: أَقْبَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمْشِي حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ، أَوْ قَرِيبًا مِنْهُ، أَتَاهُ شَيْخٌ، أَوْ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ: مَتَى السَّاعَةُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: " (٢) وَمَا أَعْدَدْتَ لَهَا؟ " قَالَ الرَّجُلُ: وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ، (٣) مَا أَعْدَدْتُ لَهَا مِنْ كَثِيرِ عَمَلٍ: صَلَاةٍ وَلَا صِيَامٍ، وَلَكِنِّي أَحَبُّ اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ، قَالَ: " أَنْتَ مَعَ مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ " (٤)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a man came and said, "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! When will the Day of Judgment be established?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "What preparation have you made for the Day of Judgment?" He replied, "I have not prepared many deeds, prayers, or fasts, but I do have this much: I love Allah and His Messenger." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "On the Day of Judgment, you will be with the one whom you love."
