حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا سَلَّامٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مِسْكِينٍ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، يَقُولُ: " خَدَمْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ، فَمَا قَالَ لِي أُفٍّ قَطُّ، وَلَا قَالَ لِي: لِمَ صَنَعْتَ كَذَا " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that I had the honor of serving the Prophet (ﷺ) for ten years, in travel and at home. It was not necessary that every action of mine would please the Prophet (ﷺ), but the Prophet (ﷺ) never even said "uff" to me. The Prophet (ﷺ) never said to me, "Why did you do this?" or "Why did you not do this?"
