English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came out after midday, led the Zuhr prayer, and after saying salam, stood on the pulpit and mentioned the Day of Judgment: and also that before it, great important matters will occur. Then he said, "Whoever wants to ask any question, let him ask. By Allah! Whatever you ask me about, as long as I am standing here, I will surely answer you." Hearing this, people began to weep and wail in abundance, and the Prophet (ﷺ) kept repeating, "Ask me." So a man stood up and asked, "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! Where will I enter?" He replied, "In Hell." Abdullah bin Hudhafah (may Allah be pleased with him) asked, "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! Who is my father?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Your father is Hudhafah." Upon this, Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) knelt down and began to say, "We are pleased and content with Allah as our Lord, with Islam as our religion, and with Muhammad (ﷺ) as our Prophet." Hearing this, the Prophet (ﷺ) became silent. After a little while, he said, "By Him in Whose hand is my soul, just now Paradise and Hell were presented before me in the width of this wall, while I was praying. I have never seen a day of good and evil like today."
