حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " الْإِزَارُ إِلَى نِصْفِ السَّاقِ " فَلَمَّا رَأَى شِدَّةَ ذَلِكَ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ، قَالَ: " إِلَى الْكَعْبَيْنِ، لَا خَيْرَ فِيمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: The lower garment should be up to the middle of the shin. When the Prophet (ﷺ) saw that this was causing difficulty for the Muslims, he said: Make it up to the ankles; there is no good in letting it go below that.
