حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " ثَلَاثٌ مَنْ كُنَّ فِيهِ وَجَدَ حَلَاوَةَ الْإِيمَانِ: مَنْ كَانَ اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِمَّا سِوَاهُمَا، وَأَنْ يُحِبَّ الْعَبْدَ لَا يُحِبُّهُ إِلَّا لِلَّهِ، وَأَنْ يُقْذَفَ فِي النَّارِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ أَنْ يُعَادَ فِي الْكُفْرِ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: There are three things, whoever possesses them will taste the sweetness of faith: First, that Allah and His Messenger are more beloved to him than anyone else; second, that when he loves someone, he loves him only for the sake of Allah; and third, that after being saved from disbelief, he dislikes returning to it just as he would dislike being thrown into the fire.
