Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that all the prayers of the Prophet (ﷺ) were almost equal in length, and likewise were the prayers of Siddiq Akbar (may Allah be pleased with him). However, Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) started making the Fajr prayer longer, and sometimes the Prophet (ﷺ) would raise his head from prostration or bowing and would pause for so long between the two that we would begin to think that perhaps the Prophet (ﷺ) had forgotten.
