Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، وَعَاصِمٌ الْأَحْوَلُ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " الْمَدِينَةُ حَرَامٌ مِنْ كَذَا إِلَى كَذَا، مَنْ أَحْدَثَ فِيهَا حَدَثًا، أَوْ آوَى مُحْدِثًا، فَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ، لَا يَقْبَلُ اللهُ مِنْهُ صَرْفًا وَلَا عَدْلًا "، قَالَ حَمَّادٌ: وَزَادَ فِيهِ حُمَيْدٌ: " لَا يُحْمَلُ فِيهَا سِلَاحٌ، ، لِقِتَالٍ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) declared Madinah Munawwarah as a sanctuary from this place to that place and said: Whoever introduces an innovation here or gives refuge to an innovator, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all people. The trees here should not be cut.
