حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ رِبْعِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَبْيَضِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي بِنَا الْعَصْرَ وَالشَّمْسُ بَيْضَاءُ مُحَلِّقَةٌ، ثُمَّ أَرْجِعُ إِلَى قَوْمِي وَهُمْ فِي نَاحِيَةِ الْمَدِينَةِ، فَأَجِدُهُمْ جُلُوسًا، فَأَقُولُ لَهُمْ: قُومُوا فَصَلُّوا، فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ صَلَّى " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to perform the Asr prayer when the sun was bright and in the shape of its circle. I would reach my neighborhood and house located in a corner of Madinah Munawwarah and would tell them that the Prophet (ﷺ) has already performed the prayer, so you should also get up and perform the prayer.
