Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ، عَنْ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: " كَنَّانِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِبَقْلَةٍ كُنْتُ أَجْتَنِيهَا " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) gave me a kunyah after the name of the vegetable which I used to pick.
