حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ وَهُوَ أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُقْبِلُ عَلَيْنَا بِوَجْهِهِ، قَبْلَ أَنْ يُكَبِّرَ فَيَقُولُ: " تَرَاصُّوا وَاعْتَدِلُوا، فَإِنِّي أَرَاكُمْ مِنْ وَرَاءِ ظَهْرِي " (٢)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day the prayer was established, so the Prophet (ﷺ) turned towards us and said, "Straighten your rows and stand close together, for I see you from behind me as well."
