Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when I finished serving the Prophet (ﷺ), I thought that now the Prophet (ﷺ) would take a nap, so I went out to play with the children. While I was watching their game, the Prophet (ﷺ) came and greeted the children who were playing, and called me and sent me on an errand, and he himself sat in the shade of a wall until I returned. When I reached home, Umm Sulaim (may Allah be pleased with her) (my mother) asked, "Why did you take so long?" I told her that the Prophet (ﷺ) had sent me on an errand. She asked, "What was the errand?" I said, "It is a secret." She said, "Then protect the secret of the Prophet (ﷺ). Thabit! If he were to disclose that secret to anyone, he would have disclosed it to you."
