Translation

English translation

Humaid says that a person asked Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) whether the Prophet (ﷺ) used to apply dye. He replied that old age did not become apparent on the Prophet (ﷺ); if I wanted to count the white hairs in the beard of the Prophet (ﷺ), I could count them. However, Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) used to dye his hair with henna and katam, while Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) used to dye his hair only with henna.
