حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُهَاجِرٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ رُوَيْمٍ قَالَ: أَقْبَلَ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ إِلَى مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ وَهُوَ بِدِمَشْقَ قَالَ: فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ لَهُ مُعَاوِيَةُ: حَدِّثْنِي بِحَدِيثٍ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ نَبِيِّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْسَ بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهُ فِيهِ أَحَدٌ، قَالَ: قَالَ أَنَسٌ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " الْإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ " هَكَذَا إِلَى لَخْمٍ وَجُذَامَ (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
Urwah bin Ruwaym narrates that once Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) came to Amir Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) when he was in Damascus. When he arrived there, Amir Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) requested him to narrate a hadith which he had heard directly from the Prophet (ﷺ) and in which there was no intermediary between him and the Prophet (ﷺ). He replied, "I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: 'Faith is Yemeni, likewise up to Lakhm and Juzam.'"
