Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that I have never smelled ambergris, musk, or any other fragrance more pleasant than the scent of the Prophet (ﷺ), and I have never touched silk, brocade, or anything softer than the Prophet (ﷺ). (Thabit says: I asked, O Abu Hamza! Did you see the Prophet (ﷺ) or did you not hear his voice? Your little servant is present.) I served the Prophet (ﷺ) in Madinah Munawwarah for ten years; at that time, I was a boy. It is not possible that everything I did was according to someone else's wish, but the Prophet (ﷺ) never even said "uff" to me, nor did he ever say, "Why did you do this?" or "Why did you not do this?"
