حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ أَهْلَ مَكَّةَ سَأَلُوا رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنْ يُرِيَهُمْ آيَةً قَالَ: " فَأَرَاهُمْ انْشِقَاقَ الْقَمَرِ مَرَّتَيْنِ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the people of Makkah requested the Prophet (ﷺ) to show them a miracle, so the Prophet (ﷺ) showed them the miracle of the splitting of the moon twice, and upon this the verse was revealed: "The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has split."
