Musnad Ahmad Hadith 13301

It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I was passing with the Prophet (ﷺ) through a road in Madinah Munawwarah, and the Prophet (ﷺ) saw a house made of bricks there. The Prophet (ﷺ) asked, "Whose is this?" I replied, "It belongs to so-and-so." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Remember! Every construction other than a mosque will be a burden on a person on the Day of Resurrection." After some time, the Prophet (ﷺ) passed by there again and did not see the house. The Prophet (ﷺ) asked, "What happened to that house?" I replied, "Its owner learned of your statement, so he demolished it." The Prophet (ﷺ) prayed for him, "May Allah have mercy on him."
