حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: مُرَّ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِجِنَازَةٍ، فَأُثْنِيَ عَلَيْهَا خَيْرًا، فَقَالَ: " وَجَبَتْ " وَمُرَّ بِجِنَازَةٍ فَأُثْنِيَ عَلَيْهَا شَرًّا فَقَالَ: " وَجَبَتْ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a funeral passed by in front of the Prophet (ﷺ), and the people praised it. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "It has become obligatory." Then another funeral passed by and the people criticized it. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "It has become obligatory."
