حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، (٣) عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ أُكَيْدِرَ دُومَةَ أَهْدَى إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جُبَّةَ سُنْدُسٍ أَوْ دِيبَاجٍ - شَكَّ فِيهِ سَعِيدٌ - قَبْلَ أَنْ يَنْهَى عَنِ، ، الْحَرِيرِ، فَلَبِسَهَا فَتَعَجَّبَ (١) النَّاسُ مِنْهَا، فَقَالَ: " وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَمَنَادِيلُ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَحْسَنُ مِنْهَا " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that Ukaydir of Duma sent a silk garment as a gift to the Prophet (ﷺ). People began to marvel at its beauty. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "By Him in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad (ﷺ), the handkerchiefs of Sa'd, which have been given to him in Paradise, are better and more excellent than this."
