حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ، قَالَ أَنَسٌ: " فَلَمَّا دَفَنَّا رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَرَجَعْنَا قَالَتْ فَاطِمَةُ: يَا أَنَسُ، أَطَابَتْ أَنْفُسُكُمْ أَنْ دَفَنْتُمْ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فِي التُّرَابِ وَرَجَعْتُمْ " (٥)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when we returned after completing the burial of the Prophet (ﷺ), Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) said, "O Anas! Did your hearts accept that you buried the Prophet (ﷺ) under the earth and then returned yourselves?"
