Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Muhajir Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) submitted in the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! The people (Ansar) to whom we have come, we have not found any nation better than them in sharing our sorrows in times of scarcity, nor any nation more generous in spending in times of abundance. They have borne our burdens and made us partners in everything they possess, to the extent that we have begun to think that all the reward and recompense will go to them. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: No, as long as you continue to thank them and pray to Allah for them.
