حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا شَبَابَةُ بْنُ سَوَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنِي نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مَرْيَمَ،، ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِنَّ قَوْمًا يَمْرُقُونَ مِنَ الإِسْلامِ كَمَا يَمْرُقُ السَّهْمُ مِنَ الرَّمِيَّةِ، يَقْرَءُونَ الْقُرْآنَ، لَا يُجَاوِزُ تَرَاقِيَهُمْ، طُوبَى لِمَنْ قَتَلَهُمْ وَقَتَلُوهُ عَلامَتُهُمْ رَجُلٌ مُخْدَجُ الْيَدِ " (١)، •
Translation
English translation
`Ali bin Abi Talib (رضي الله عنه) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“Some people will pass out of Islam as the arrow passes out of the prey. They will recite the Qur`an but it will go no further than their collar bones. Glad tidings to the one who kills them and they kill him. Their sign will be a man with a deformed arm.
