Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (ﷺ) set out towards Badr, he consulted the people. In response, Siddiq Akbar (may Allah be pleased with him) gave a suggestion. Then, when he asked for advice again, Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) gave his opinion. Seeing this, the Prophet (ﷺ) remained silent. An Ansari said that the Prophet (ﷺ) wants to consult you. Upon this, the Ansari companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said, "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! By Allah! We will not say as the Children of Israel said to Musa (peace be upon him): 'You and your Lord go and fight, we will sit here.' Rather, if you go as far as Bark al-Ghamad, striking the livers of camels, even then we will be with you."
