حَدَّثَنَا عَبِيدَةُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: خَرَجَ نَبِيُّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَتَلَقَّتْهُ الْأَنْصَارُ بَيْنَهُمْ فَقَالَ: " وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ، إِنِّي لَأُحِبُّكُمْ، إِنَّ الْأَنْصَارَ قَدْ قَضَوْا مَا عَلَيْهِمْ وَبَقِيَ الَّذِي عَلَيْكُمْ، فَأَحْسِنُوا إِلَى مُحْسِنِهِمْ، وَتَجَاوَزُوا عَنْ مُسِيئِهِمْ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) went out and met the Ansar. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "By Him in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad (ﷺ), I love you. Accept the good deeds of the Ansar and overlook and forgive their wrongdoers, for they have fulfilled their duty and their right remains."
