حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ صُهَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اتَّخَذَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ فِضَّةٍ، وَنَقَشَ فِيهِ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللهِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنِّي قَدْ اتَّخَذْتُ خَاتَمًا مِنْ فِضَّةٍ وَنَقَشْتُ فِيهِ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللهِ، فَلَا تَنْقُشُوا عَلَيْهِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) had a ring made of silver for himself and said: We have had a ring made and have engraved on it the inscription "Muhammad Rasul Allah" (Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah), therefore no one should engrave this inscription on his ring.
