Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that eight men from the tribe of ‘Ukl came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and accepted Islam, but the climate of Madinah did not suit them. The Prophet (ﷺ) said to them, “If you go to our camels and drink their milk, perhaps you will recover.” So they did so, but when they became healthy, they reverted to disbelief and turned back from Islam. They killed the Muslim shepherd of the Prophet (ﷺ) and drove away the Prophet’s camels. The Prophet (ﷺ) sent some companions after them, they were captured and brought before the Prophet (ﷺ). The Prophet (ﷺ) ordered that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides, hot iron rods were passed through their eyes, and they were left in the rocky area until they died.
