حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنِ الشُّرْبِ قَائِمًا ". قُلْتُ: فَالْأَكْلُ؟ قَالَ: " ذَاكَ أَشَدُّ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade anyone from drinking while standing. I asked about eating, so he said, "That is even more severe than this."
